JFK Homecoming

JFK Homecoming

In tribute to the 50th anniversary of the 1963 four-day visit to Ireland by President John F. Kennedy, the Art Park, Dublin's largest outdoor visual arts screen, will project a photographic montage of images taken during this historic homecoming journey.

Located to the rear of the Convention Centre Dublin (CCD). The Art Park visual projection will feature iconic images from the June 26th to 29th, 1963 Presidential visit to the cities and towns of Dublin, Wexford, New Ross, Dunganstown, Limerick, Cork and Galway.

The projection will run from dusk to 1am over the anniversary dates and will highlight many of the evocative images featured in the online 50th anniversary exhibition of the JFK Homecoming Memorial Project

The JFK Homecoming Memorial Project will also compliment an exhibition at the National Library of Ireland on Kildare Street and is a joint initiative between the US Embassy, the National Library of Ireland, the JFK Presidential Library, the National Archives and R.T.E.
